USA PFWCI joint venture on Climate change among South Asians

PFWCI intends to engage with renowned expertise in the United States to empower South Asian immigrants, enabling them to emerge as key contributors in the global fight against climate change. Given the US's preeminence in scientific and technological advancements, it becomes imperative to harness this wealth of knowledge to train and equip these individuals with cutting-edge techniques.

By leveraging this invaluable expertise, immigrants will not only contribute to enhancing their adopted nation’s ability to combat the climate crisis but also create a ripple effect by imparting this knowledge to their families and communities in their native countries. This exchange will foster a transnational network of climate-conscious individuals, amplifying the collective response to this unprecedented global challenge.

Thus, this initiative promises to be a mutually beneficial venture, yielding significant rewards for both the United States and South Asian nations alike. The cross-pollination of knowledge and expertise will not only fortify the leadership of the US in global climate mitigation efforts but also empower South Asian countries to advance their environmental stewardship. Ultimately, this synergistic collaboration aligns perfectly with PFWCI’s overarching vision for a cleaner, greener world, providing the much-needed impetus for transformative action on a global scale.

Statement on wildfire prevention in India.

Wildfires pose a significant threat to India’s forests, wildlife, and communities. To prevent and mitigate these disasters, it is crucial to have the necessary knowledge and practice. We need to understand the risks and take proactive measures to prevent wildfires from occurring in the first place. This includes being mindful of fire-starting materials, creating defensible spaces, practicing controlled burning, monitoring weather conditions, and reporting unattended fires. By taking these steps, we can reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires and protect our natural resources.

Human - Wild animal conflict.

Human-wildlife conflict refers to the unfriendly situation between people and animals, resulting in undesirable effects not only for animals but also for humans. For example, crop loss, livestock predation, injury, or death, as well as the killing of wildlife, can be some of the aftermath.
Such conflicts occur when human activities expand into the habitat of animals and the human population increases and starts to come into contact with wildlife in these dominated areas.
The man-animal conflict has profound consequences not only on the immediate wildlife but also on the entire ecosystem and socio-economic systems of the affected areas.
Human lives and livelihoods are often impacted by such conflicts. People suffer emotional trauma due to fatalities and injuries. In addition, farmers who have experienced livestock predation lose an opportunity to feed their families. Rural and agricultural communities struggle to stay in business due to crop depredation.
