Comprehensive Holistic Health Camps for Karnataka's Forest Frontline Workforce
Protecting Those Who Protect Our Forests
Sustaining the Health of Our Frontline Forest Protectors
Karnataka's vast forest reserves and tiger habitats owe their survival to the unwavering vigilance of thousands of frontline forest guards, watchers, and field staff. Working under extreme weather conditions, remote outposts, and hazardous environments, these dedicated individuals patrol deep inside sanctuaries day and night to safeguard biodiversity and mitigate human-wildlife conflict.
Despite their critical environmental role, frontline forest personnel frequently face severe health challenges with limited or delayed access to medical facilities. Prolonged physical strain, exposure to tropical waterborne diseases, high stress levels, and lack of routine preventive health checks take a heavy toll on their physical and mental well-being over time.
To address this urgent critical gap, PFWCI (People for Forest and Wildlife Conservation of India) launched a comprehensive holistic health camp initiative across Karnataka's forest divisions. Working in direct partnership with senior medical specialists, veterinary public health officers, and local forest departments, our mission provides multi-specialty health screenings, diagnostic care, stress management workshops, and nutritional counseling directly to frontline beats.
